Two people were shot and killed at Club Xclusive over the weekend. Today City Attorney Trachelle Young asked City Council for a closed session to discuss padlocking the club. The Council said no and Young left. Council members say closed sessions can't be used for something like that but Young disagrees. Now a process has been started to remove Young from her job. She says she isn't worried. The Mayor says Council doesn't have the authority to remove Young.
Howard Turner, owner of Club Xclusive, says he shouldn't be held responsible for crimes that have taken place outside his establishment. The club, formerly known as Beaver's Sports Lounge is connected to four murders in the past year, two of them this past weekend. A special meeting has been called for this Thursday at 5 o'clock. If the Flint City Council agrees, Club Xclusive is a public nuisance, the club will be padlocked.
