Economic Impact of Historic Preservation in Michigan
www.mhpn.org

This report is from November 2006.
I've heard people say that historic preservation in Flint should be last priority because there are other things that need attention first, like schools or crime control. That may be true, but fixing one problem at a time does not work. All issues and all improvements need to be made gradually and simultaneously, and I think historic preservation has more value in the economic realm than most of the public gives it credit.

I'm not saying it's a fix-all solution. It's just something to look at, think about, and give some value.

call me crazy...

Its a proven fact that Historic Preservation Dollars equal more spin off investment than new construction.
