Just curious, but why isn't there a forum about the Flint Generals in the Sports section? Not that anyone would use it. It seems to be a little ignored as far as posting goes, but anyway, just an observation.

I agree we should have a page for the Generals! I heard a rumor about The Dr. selling the team... anyone else hear about that?

I just read a thing in the paper that said an anonymous group wants to buy the Generals and keep them in Flint, and that they are also interested in buying Perani Arena, but that they hadn't really discussed that yet.

I hope they stay in Flint!! However, I must be honest, the team has become very boring. My family and I were season ticket holders for many years, then the team lost its spark. They use to do a ton of promotions, but have lacked in that area as well..

Oh I disagree! Although I've only been to one Flint Generals game, I've been to a Red Wings game, a Blackhawks game, and countless adult league games and the one Flint Generals game I went to a month or two ago against Rockford was the most exciting game I've seen.
Then again, Hockey is weird. It can be really good one day and really blah the next. And from what I understand, the Generals have only recently started to get interesting again.
We'll see how it goes tomorrow though against Kalamazoo. |
