Michigan's transportation budget is now at a record 2.3 billion, last year Gov. Granholm announced an additional 618 million in highway spending, there are more road projects going on now then in any time I can remember, yet DOT says that 92% of our roads are rated as "good", the highest percent in 20 years. Isn't it time to stop all the construction, save gas, and give upper Michigan a chance for some much-needed tourism? An immediate halt on all construction projects could save Michigan's budget.
