Valid statements? He said he was bringing jobs to the community. Where? He said he was fixing sidewalks. Where? He claims a 9 million dollar surplus even after the recent audit by Dupuis and Ryden only showed a 2.5 million surplus with some unaccounted for funds. He also fails to mention the nearly 15 million in unsettled lawsuits and the 9 million debt to the state. Maybe you should watch again and take off the rose colored glasses.

Good question. If he's like princess Jenny & the erstwhile queen Hillary, he'll want more tax money. Or maybe he'll hit up his "connections" in DC for a hundred mil or so. Or, maybe it's just the usual hot air from the professional politicians; all talk & no action.

1. He would eliminate the citizens service bureau.
2. I imagine he would also seek cost savings.
3. In addition, If Williamson can find millions of dollars to pay for things like new garbage trucks and police cars why cant't Walling find thousands of dollars to pay for the gas and electric for community centers and then staff them with volunteers?
4. There's also could be dozens of positions like Chucky had (and would still have if not for the run in with the law) and people like Dave Davenport and Tamara Edwards currently have.
5. Some of the programs Walling wants to implement would be revenue neutral (not cost anything), or may actually bring in additional revenue to the city.

Adam, I see the words could, would and imagine in your post, which leads me to believe you don't know how he is going to pay for his ideas either.
It is an idea and not a plan because a plan would explain:
How much it is going to cost and where is the funding is coming from.
What is going to be done.
Who is going to lead it up and who is going to be effected.
Where it will take place.
When it will be implemented
Supervision of the plan to insure it is carry out correctly and moneys are going to the right places and not pockets.
Follow up month, quarterly or yearly to insure insure the plan is getting carry out correctly and moneys are going to the right places and not pockets.
Most important, review the plan for relevance and redundancy.
Okay maybe I am being a little hard on the guy, but we need to see at a minimum, who, where, when and how much.

There is a group out there which has been started by Don Williamson to attack the Genesee County Democratic Party and the Genesee County Young Democrats for endorsing Dayne Walling. They are trying to split the Dem vote and are lying to their members. Williamson's lackies began attacking the Young Dems last week by commenting to our official post endorsing Walling. Our initial post merely congratulated Walling and gave his expertise. These lackies have personally attacked the Young Dems for merely using our right to free speech and endorsement. Now, they continue to post comments on the Young Dem blog, but refuse comments on their blog. These people are afraid of free speech and know that they are wrong. Don't be lied to by an organization pretending to represent Democrats. They are merely self-loathing Republicans disguising themselves to win votes in a predominately Democrat Flint.
I've always had a problem with those that vote the party no matter what.
