So, I'm just curious how much "stimulus" is going to come out of this rebate.
I will be using mine to pay my mortgage. How will all of you be using it? |

I really want to do my part to boost the economy (especially local). Since most of the products are made overseas, and more and more services are supported through India, I'm thinking maybe a trip to Dort Highway to purchase some services that can't be outsourced. |

$600 divded by $20 equals 30 all American purchases. Dont forget Lewis St the east side could stand a little economic boost as well. Skin to Redeye shes loaded up. |

LOL awesome reference there FC.
Maybe I can carve out $30 or so for a visit to Dort Highway myself...
I already buy nearly everything I can American, and I have renounced Wal-Mart and Sam's forever. I can't blame people who have big families they need to feed, I suppose, but I'm a VG's girl all the way.
Now if I could just find some American-made thongs... |

I went to VG's tonight and the parking lot was pretty empty. I hope people remember the service we get there is worth a lot and they have a beautiful fresh produce section and lots of specialty items. I try to shop as local as I can, especially when they do everything right. I went to see the new Walmart. It is nice but I have vowed to avoid it as much as possible. At VG's there is always someone there to help you find what you need. They are friendly, they greet you, there is no reason for me to stop shopping there. |

I will also use stimulus funds to catch up on mortgage and other household bills. Can't afford to by bulk at Sam's club in the last year. Though I used to and found great buys there to donate portions to schools.
VG's has great produce/service but other items are too pricey can't afford gas to go to different stores for specific items.
Hate that I buy from Kessels aka Krogers now because they are close to home. Also buy at Aldi's- produce is not so fresh but less cost if used quickly.
Will for sure treat myself and my daughter to soup and sandwich at the Lunch Studio in downtown Flint with the extra cash from the stimulus package. Love their Healthy Fresh choices. Will also continue to visit the Farmers Market in Flint.
Please remember to donate to the Eastern Michigan Food bank they feed many children at low cost with big results!
You can donate pennies that add up to feeding children here in Flint.
Peace,
Rap |
