Author    Post   Steve Myers Site Admin Posted on Mlive:by NamVetPlnfld, 6/23/08 22:21 ET In 2004 our state Senators and Representatives passed a tax shift to collect county taxes SIX MONTHS EARLY, phased in over a three year period. Last summer 2007 was the last of the early collections converting the early tax into a summer tax. There is now pending legislation to do it all over again with other winter taxes, shifting them to summer taxes, six months early. A tax collected EARLY is a tax INCREASE.
