Mayor Don Williamson's plans to review all pending city contracts is stirring up concerns from nonprofit agencies that do not want to be under the microscope.
Mayor Don Williamson said the contracts will go through "as soon as we get to it," but he plans to review them to make sure agencies spend the money wisely, noting that the City Council has to approve the spending.
"I stopped everything the second I got here," The Mayor said. "This is the taxpayers' money. I'm not interested in giving taxpayers' dollars away."
What is wrong with reviewing city funded programs?
If the agencies are preforming the sevices that promise to than they have nothing to worry about.
