Police Chief Dicks is indicted...
Who takes his place *if* Don ousts him...an interim interim replacement FOR the interim? Or does the "Super" Chief take over with his cape in tow?
I never would have thought that this would have happened, because everyone is turning a blind eye to this debacle on the federal level, so it seemed.
Now if they would just take care of the Landmark Forum monies that were doled out to enlighten people at Career Alliance..I'd be a happy camper.
(Steve...you may get an e-mail or phone call from Chicago about this call from the Landmark Forum Headquarters about NOT leaving this post up. I have spoken *about* them before on the internet with my educated opinion, but Internet forums always quash under pressure to remove my posts.....sigh.) Save their phone number on your caller ID will ya?

Alright I'll go.
Andi brings up the Landmark Forum issue. Was Career Alliance more involved with Landmark then the three day seminar they provide? Was a Landmark seminar provided here in Flint?
Also the Google auto finish feature finishes a search for Landmark Forum as "Landmark forum cult" and also "landmark Forum Scam"
interesting
As far as your topic being ignored due to a poor title may I suggest Dicks-apalooza... on second thought... |

I edited the title to reflect a dual thread war.....actually this one has more to do with Career Alliance than the overall administrative debacle...and David Dicks hasn't been indicted...just charged.
Yes, Landmark Forums/Educational Seminars were performed in Flint...here is a brochure that states as such...
www.careeralliance.org/youthbuild/yb_brochure06052007.pdf
Steve, don't know if you've been contacted or not, by Landmark about this post, but for the sake of brevity I will add the link TO the source for the company so people may review whom they are and what they offer...you know lawyer type of stuff.... here it is...http://www.landmarkeducation.com/
I don't advocate this type of self help instruction whatsoever...by the way....nor the way people are trained, nor how the people successfully have to go through it have to recruit more people...there I said it.... IN MY OPINION....
Now that that opinion is over....makes you wonder what's in store for the rest of the bunch that ran City Security Guard Services and for the others that made "bad decisions" overall....will others fall?
This thing has made me mad from the beginning...all of the monies that were thwarted for the real premise of training people....the sum of 46,000 USD? Could have purchased a lot of keyboarding classes and computers for people...sigh. |

After reading the PDF the journal had, I've got questions. If the supervisor the investigator talked to signed time sheets he knew to be fraudulent, why isn't he being charged? If the person that approved the checks knew Dicks wasn't working there & ok'd the checks being issued, why isn't he being charged? Also, it's a criminal complaint, NOT an indictment. This has not gone to the grand jury yet. According to the article on the Journal's web site this morning, it looks like they're trying to pressure Dicks into talking because they don't have much of a case. Since those that know aren't talking, it's time to wait & see how this all plays out. |

I dont know how ??? How do you splain them Kerry Edwards banners on the side of Dons campaign headquarters back when the American gigolo and the breck girl were running? By the way your Federal Charges for DICKs thread title would include just about everyone running that miserable city since they are all Oh never mind. |

***If the supervisor the investigator talked to signed time sheets he knew to be fraudulent, why isn't he being charged?***
Maybe because he spilled the beans?
**If the person that approved the checks knew Dicks wasn't working there & ok'd the checks being issued, why isn't he being charged?**
Wouldn't the one that signed the checks be his dad or sister? Not snarky question...I would think that because the security company was a different entity than Career Alliance different standards were put in place.
***Also, it's a criminal complaint, NOT an indictment.***
My Freudian Slip was showing when I typed the title of the thread in.
What's next? What about the phone system that was "improperly" bidded out to one of the bigwigs' relatives...do you remember that?
What about the arrangement with the city, are there any fallbacks from this Williamson administration?
I don't see Shiawassee County folk at the doors with pitchforks and torches...they should be as this Career Alliance was for them also...hmm...dunno. |

Indictment NOW! no longer a criminal complaint.
Can we any time soon have a real police chief?
The U.S. Attorney's office always has a strong case before they indict. |

You know, I wonder if MCOLES will revoke his cert for being a police officer now..sheesh.
The part of me that wants to collect stray animals feels sorry for him, yet, I wonder if the Feds would watch his bank account for strange deposits for "support" while unemployed...if ya know what I mean.
edited to add: "Don was not available for comment until he found out more about the indictment" (wjrt.com)...did he need to look up the definition? |

An indictment means that the grand jury feels there's sufficient grounds to have a trial. The US Attorney does not issue indictments, a grand jury does. |
