The community policing officer there told her that there will be 25 more officers laid off in 2 weeks. ALL community policing will be gone & the ministations closed. According to this officer, there will be 5 cars per shift on the streets. The lady that delivers our mail is married to an officer that was laid off. They're looking at Jacksonville, FL, since they will pay relocation costs to officers that they hire. Thanks, Mike. _________________ I used to care, but I take a pill for that now. I was at committee yesterday when the administration said that the budget that they submitted on Monday is going to be wrong. Revenues were over-projected. Because GM has come to the City and asked that their property taxes be reduced 80% they figured that revenues could be as low as $62 million (from the projected $66 million).
