Tuesday night members of SPARC, Skate Park Athletic Recreation Committee of Flint, approved a letter they'll send to Mayor Don Williamson.
The group hopes the mayor will help them pay for a new public skate park.
They say it'll cost around $500,000. They say they want it to be the finest skate park in the state.
Right now there are three locations where the group is looking to build. They're deciding between near Broome Park, near the Kearsly Golf Course, and behind the Flint Fire Department building.
SPARC says the skate park project could kick-off as early as September. The group hopes to complete it within three years.
