Author    Post   twotap F L I N T O I D I called my favorite salesman at one of the Largest well actually the largest GM dealerships in MI to give him my new cell No. I asked him how the cash for Clunkers deal was going and he stated "heaven help us if they ever pass government run healthcare". Since this fiasco started they have changed the rules 3 different times. The dealership he works at has submitted over 100 deals to the government (well actually to Obama) and have had 0 responses. Thankfully the owner of the dealership is smart enough not to finalize any deals until getting the Gov money, unlike some dealers who have actually allowed those clunker folks to drive off in their new rides. Now of course the whole thing has been suspended with its future in doubt. Apparently, from your paragraph, we know that there are a number of businesses in Michigan that are going forward with the plan regardless of government back-up - sounds like they are getting ahead of their feet. What your description tells us, really, is that some people operate okay within a system of rules and others don't really plan that far ahead. It sounds to me like your argument here actually says, "Anybody can screw something up and the government, ran by people, is just as likely to mess up too."
