I was at a meeting this week where it was stated that Parks and Rec only had 3 employees and only one who will cut grass. They said they were in a group that had been meeting with Marcus Randolph to see how to help Flint's 66 parks. members of the group are Quincy Murphy, Erin Caudel, Nayyirah Shariff, and Franklin Pleasant.

It was said that they are returning to the adopt-a-park plan. Anyone remember when former Parks Director, Steve Waller, went to prison for embezzling from the same program.

It was told that the city was only going to cut 4 parks! They did not remember all of the parks but stated 2 would be Kearsley and the former Forest Park.

I know everyone is excited about cutting a large park!

When questioned about the city tractors and lawn cutting equipment the group was told the city was looking at storing the equipment at Salem Housing!

Presently, the equipment is at Oak Business Center being used for the Land Bank project. But the land Bank is telling groups they don't have enough money to cut all of their properties!

The blight busting new code enforcement officers won't be on until June, and not May as promised.

With all of this rain, land bank properties look horrible!
