FLINT, Michigan — A woman who identified herself as the sister of Rosie Alexander, a 70-year-old woman hit by a stray bullet Tuesday night, said two men were shooting at each other when the victim was hit in the crossfire.
"Two men were shooting at each other and she got caught by a stray bullet," the woman said. "She was minding her own business."
She said her sister was hit in the neck.
Alexander was shot while standing in her driveway on East Rankin Street near Martin Luther King Avenue at about 8:10 p.m. Tuesday.
Police, who believe the shots were fired from passing vehicles, said she was listed in critical condition.
Two allegedly involved vehicles were described as a white Chevrolet Malibu and a white Chevrolet Cavalier.
Anyone with information is asked to call police Sgt. Jeff Collins at (810) 237-6911 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-422-JAIL. |
