A former Flint man and his partner are about to find out if the city's signature Coney Island hot dog will be a hit in the Myrtle Beach, S.C., area.
Todd Church, a Lake Fenton High School graduate and former Flint resident, is a partner in Cozmic Charleyz, a gazebo restaurant that opened in Garden City Beach, S.C., in October, specializing in the Flint style coney.
"There are two kinds - Detroit style and Flint style," she said. "We do Flint style, and it is awesome. The sauce is a little dry (so it isn't messy), and we season it with a secret spice blend we buy from former NCAA star (and Flint native) Marty Embry.

It isn't a Flint coney if they're not using Koegel's hot dogs. |

Pushing buttons sure can be fun.

Paddle faster, I hear banjos. |
