I was under the impression that Arnold Brown had retired & been brought back as a "consultant". On channel 12's snow coverage today, he was interviewed and identified as the transportation director. What's up with that?

El Supremo

He was brought back and Kay Muhammad is the Transportation Diretor. That begs the question of why "know nothing about transportation procedures" Walling is saying he is in charge and he is directing the work.

I quess that explains why Court Street is nearly down ro the surface and the north end main roads are struggling.

FLINT, Michigan — Mayor Dayne Walling plans to brief the public on the progress of the city's response to the snow storm at 6 p.m. at the 12th Street Garage, 702 West 12th Street, according to a news release.

City street maintenance workers are rotating shifts to continuously clear snow from major roads before they can move on to secondary and residential streets.

"As the snow continues to fall and shift from the wind gusts we will continue our efforts of clearing and salting the major roads and access routes to our local hospitals," said Director of Street Maintenance Arnold Brown in the release.

Walling has asked residents to limit their travel, move parked from streets and to check in on their neighbors.
