Hello Everyone,

The Historic District Commission is sponsoring a "Fall Clean Up Project. This is to help maintain, preserve the old Spencer House of Mortuary. We want to be more involved in preserving Flint's Historic Districts, while leading by example. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to come help out!! Smile

We will be boarding up the Spencer house ( 520 W. Third Ave) on Oct 7th, starting at 9:00 AM. We can use all the help you can get, including the neighbors in the surrounding area. Steve Heddy will bring ladders, scaffolding, 10 sheets of plywood & screws. Ryan Eashoo will supply some of the plywood as well. Bring your saws & screw guns. We also would like people to help clean up the grounds on the property. ( bring gloves, shovels, rakes, bags)

We will also be painting the plywood white to match the house. Steve Heddy will e mail the Kettering fraternities to enlist their help also. Please pass this along to everyone who might be interested in helping.. Please meet us at 9 am at 520 W. Third Ave. Near the corner of W. Third Ave & N. Grand Traverse.

For More Information or to sign up to help please contact the Historic District Commissioners below:
