I am sick of this board touting they delivered a balanced budget!! A balanced budget must be delivered by law!! It is their job! The Township has never operated in the Red! If it did the state would take us over!

7 reasons to Vote Yes!

1 They made promises they never intended to keep and then took the oath of office as though their campaign pledge meant nothing. Steve Fuhr, Wayne Bates, Kathy Sutton and Patricia Witte need to be held accountable. Instead of reducing their pay by 30 percent they put out a flyer that did nothing but confuse the residents. According to the flyer that they are handing out to residents the township should be more than 375,000 dollars in the black as of today. If that were the case taxes could be reduced, but it is not true. One senior resident said, “Show me the money.

From the Genesee Township Voice 2008:

Steve Fuhr, who is challenging incumbent Township Bates, Fuhr , Sutton and White have joined as a team to Supervisor Scott Streeter agrees with Bates." Our first goal is promote a common platform. All are agreed that the budget and to cut board payroll by 30 percent and revisit benefits for

essential infrastructure needs like roads and sewer upgrades

trustees," Fuhr vowed. "We must avoid tax increases.

2. Supervisor Steven D. Fuhr knowingly reported False Information to the board by stating "No lawsuits pending" knowing full well he had an active lawsuit pending.

Genesee Township Supervisor Steve Fuhr was recently awarded a 15,000 dollar settlement against the township for an accident he claimed injured him. As Supervisor of Genesee Township he earns more than 60,000 dollars plus benefits which included health insurance.

3. In an automobile accident that involved the daughter of Steve Fuhr and another person, the reporting Genesee Township Police officer indicated that Miss Fuhr was at fault. However, Mr. Fuhr’s good friend Genesee Township Police Chief Wayne Bates changed the Police Report by switching the guilt from Miss Fuhr to the other person. THAT IS CORRUPTION!

4. It was Friday the 13th of May 2011 when the Genesee Township Crime Scene Investigator was called to the home of a resident where an alleged assault had occurred. When the investigator arrived at the scene it turned out that the perpetrator was -and is- an employee of Genesee Township and is the assistant to Township Clerk Wayne Bates. She was placed under arrest by the township officer.

5. Here’s what they said in their flyer:

“After taking office these new elected officials reduced their combined pay and benefits by 31% in 2009, 34% in 2010, and projected savings of 34% or more in 2011 and 2012 savings the township residents over $500,000 of their hard earned tax dollars during their four

years in office.”

So, where is the $500,000?

7. It seems Supervisor Steven D. Fuhr decided to take it upon himself to award his business, Kearsley Auto, the contract to maintain township vehicles. When he got caught, he claimed he was doing the township a favor fixing the vehicles at a loss!

It is public record , Supervisor Steven D. Fuhr canceled the contract with Kearsley Auto Brokers located on Genesee RD and awarded himself the contract shortly after taking office. He was caught by a fellow board member calling it a conflict of interest.

There are no misleading facts everything is true. We have all the documents to back it up!
