Rush Limbaugh Alleges Obama Tampered With Isaac Forecasts To Get GOP To Cancel Convention

Rush Limbaugh had a typically unique take on the threat of Tropical Storm Isaac during his Monday show, appearing to suggest that the Obama administration had tampered with the forecasts of the storm to hurt the Republicans.
The tropical storm is threatening to turn into a hurricane just as it hits New Orleans, bringing up grim memories of Hurricane Katrina and making the GOP worry about how its convention in Tampa will be affected. Monday's proceedings already had to be canceled.
To hear Limbaugh tell it, though, that was the point. "With none of this am I alleging conspiracy," he said on Monday. It sure sounded like he was alleging one, though.
He went on to note that the Hurricane Center that monitors such things is "the regime," as he put it. "It's the government. It's Obama."
Limbaugh said that he grew suspicious because he noticed that the forecast for Isaac had shifted dramatically away from Florida soon after the Republicans canceled the first day of the convention.
"What could be better for the Democrats than the Republicans to cancel a day of this?" he said. "...I'm alleging no conspiracy. I'm just telling you, folks, when you put this all together in this timeline, I'm telling you, it's unbelievable!"

Rush Limbaugh: Maybe Al-Qaeda 'Gave Up' Bin Laden To Make Obama 'Look Good' (AUDIO)

Rush Limbaugh sure is fond of his "theories."
First, there was the theory that the government was manipulating hurricane forecasts to make Republicans look bad. Then there was the theory that Chicago teachers were striking to help the Democrats.
Wednesday brought perhaps the most out-there theory yet. As he has done before, Limbaugh called it a "wild" theory and said he was "just thinking off the top of my head."
"What if Ayman al-Zawahiri and other Al Qaeda leaders gave up Osama bin Laden for the express purpose of making Obama look good?" he said.
His reasoning was that bin Laden was no longer a key player in Al Qaeda when he was killed, and that the group wanted Obama to remain in power so that it could have a better chance of seeing Israel destroyed, since the president is supposedly so hostile towards Israel.
"Do you think that militant Islamists will be as hopeful of getting rid of Israel with a Republican president or with a Democrat president?" he said.

Limbaugh: Penises now ’10 percent smaller’ and shrinking because of ‘feminazis’

Rush Limbaugh on Thursday lashed out at feminists — who he called “feminazis” — over the news that male genitalia are shrinking.
The conservative radio host pointed to an Italian study which found that the average male penis was 10 percent smaller than 50 years ago. Researchers cited weight gain around the waist, smoking, stress and environmental pollutants as factors.
But Limbaugh wasn’t buying that explanation.
“I think it’s feminism,” he declared. “If it’s tied to the last 50 years — the average size of [a male's] member is 10 percent smaller than 50 years — it has to be the feminazis, the chickification and everything else.”
“Give ‘em time and they’ll blame Bush. But air pollution vs. feminazis? Ha!”
In 2009, Limbaugh worried that the Center for Disease Control was considering a proposal to encourage circumcision for all baby boys.
“If we need to save our penises from anybody, it’s Obama,” he said at the time.
In other possibly unrelated penis news, IO9 reported on Thursday that doctors have been recently struggling with how to treat Koro Syndrome, which is the irrational “fear that the genitals are shrinking, or retracting into the body, and that when they finally do disappear, you will die.”

Answer:
A term used primarily by conservatives to disparage liberal progressive women and those who support women's rights, "feminazi" is a portmanteau word that combines "feminist" and "nazi" and blends their sounds and meanings into a single word. A feminazi is an exaggerated description of a woman's rights advocate so ardently committed to the fight for gender equality that she is (as Merriam-Webster.com defines 'nazi) "a harshly domineering, dictatorial, or intolerant person."
Made popular by radio talk show host and conservative commentator Rush Limbaugh, the term "feminazi" did not originate with him. In his first book, The Way Things Ought To Be (Pocket Books, 1992) Limbaugh credits the originator of the word and provides his own definition of feminazi (p. 193):
Tom Hazlett, a good friend who is an esteemed and highly regarded professor of economics at the University of California at Davis, coined the term to describe any female who is intolerant of any point of view that challenges militant feminism. I often use it to describe women who are obsessed with perpetuating a modern-day holocaust: abortion.
Later in the book (p. 296), Limbaugh states that he uses the term not to describe all feminists but only those "to whom the most important thing in life is ensuring that as many abortions as possible occur," and acknowledges that there are fewer than 25 "known Feminazis in the United States."
However, two decades later a much wider range of women fall under the conservative commentator's "feminazi" label. At present, Limbaugh uses the term to describe any woman or women whose attempts to advocate for those basic and legal rights such as abortion, contraceptive use, and equal pay do not meet with his approval.
Other pundits have mocked Limbaugh's use of the term feminazi by offering up their own definitions. In the midst of the Rush Limbaugh / Sandra Fluke controversy in March 2012, Comedy Central's The Daily Show host Jon Steward observed during the March 5 broadcast that a feminazi was "someone who would herd you onto a train to go to an Indigo Girls concert." |
