So i just read on the Flint Journal website that the city of Flint is offering $5000 each for two assault rifles used in the 2005 slaying of a man in a parking lot on South Dort... no questions asked.
Initially I thought... well, if they have the weapons, they can trace the serial numbers to the owners and maybe generate a lead. But assault rifles don't have serial numbers. Only handguns do.
I hope I'm missing something, but if they don't know who possessed the guns, how will they help to solve the murder?
Because.... the rifles aren't guilty of murder, the shooters are.
What am I missing? |

Those weapons have probably changed hands at least 2 dozen times since that murder sounds to me like they just want them off the streets so LE doesn't have to worry about facing that kind of weapon. Don't think you're missing much sounds like you're dead on.....sounds like the assault rifles are more important than the murder.....
but who knows...its an ongoing investigation there might be tons of info not available to the public |
