The recently reopened Flint City Jail has hosted 276 people in its first 10 days of operation, city officials said.
The majority of the people have been lodged on misdemeanor warrants and arrests, although 78 arrests have been for fresh felonies since the jail opened full-time May 21.
Acting Flint Police Chief Gary Hagler credited judges, court administrators, the city attorney's offices and police agencies for what he called "a very successful start."

Thats good news, but until we offer more jobs and a better educational system for citizens we might as well built 20 more of these!
