Not that anyone cares, but i hope some of you had a chance to spend the 4th at Crossroads. The weather looked iffy at first, but the sun came out and gave us a beautiful parade.
We had a larger parade than last year, with a number of local groups and churches, and even a few political candidates. I was going to ask how they view women's suffrage and why I should persuade my husband to vote for them, but I thought that might be a little extreme.
I dunno. Would you like Crossroads Village better if we had more of a 1st person experience going on? Or do you like your genesee county park employees to be well grounded in the present day?
Seriously, we had so many activities going on: a baseball game, parade, musical show, reading of the declaration of independance, crafts, a frog jumping contest, ice cream social, live music, butter churning... which i can't do to save my life... etc etc.
I'm proud of the turn out. spread the joy! |
