When they didn't want to offend one of their largest advertisers, or the black community.
I would respect the journal had they chosen one, or even two perhaps! |

regarding Dayne Walling, the Journal states:
"If elections were won on first impressions, Walling would be hard to beat. He's comfortable talking about Flint's failings and strengths and his plans for fixing or taking advantage of both.
The main doubt he poses as a mayoral hopeful is whether his education and sophistication is accompanied by sufficient street smarts to handle the pressures public office can present. We don't question his passion or vision. However, we might wonder about his grit for this daily grind."
That's like saying to LeBron James in High School: "Hey LeBron, we know your the best player we've ever seen talent wise. But you've never played in the NBA, so we don't know if we want to take a chance on you."
By their own admission, Dayne Walling is the best candidate Flint has seen in two generations. This election is a no-brainer. Unfortunately, Flint has a lot of people without brains. |

So they are really endorsing Walling. |

shouldn't they endorse two, since it is a primary and the top TWO go on to the general election.
In November, if they have the stones, they should endorse ONE of the two candidates running. |
