Michigan is surrounded on three sides by water. So it does not take rocket science to understand that piling up garbage on a peninsula is foolhardy.
Perhaps Canadian and U.S. officials need to take a class in water runoff? Somebody call Al Gore! Goodness knows Gleason cares naught. Factory farms..ecoli...should I buy my beer from MI?
Still good luck on prying Labatt Blue from my fridge!
Peace,

there is a lot more mythology around JFK then there ever will be around the Rev Kennedy.
Both have there apostles I guess, both on different points of the spectrum.
I don't follow, or worship either...and thats good since they are both dead and I am not [yet].
The solution and the problem changes depending upon your viewpoint. Someone's "solution" is another's "problem". And that is why we are lucky enough to have a voice in whom our leaders are. |

Revise draft, edit, revise again. Who could have any more experience at this than a lawyer, a tool of the trade. The thing is, who would have thought the entire subject would change to food, the "way to a man's heart." And make all the interjected responses to your posts appear "off the wall?" You serving these delectable dishes at your next open house with additional satire on the side? |

Dave said this board has aura of elitism that seems to permeate this forum. My honest thought is that we are populist, inclusive, just more rational than most boards. Oh well! I am confused Dave what do you really mean? |

When I see posts that imply that people with college degrees are superior human beings, that people are unfit for public office because they're old, fat, don't smile, have an "ugly" wife, etc., that people who work in the factories are "knuckle draggers", that 70% of the population of Flint are "white trash and ghetto folk", that implies elitism to me. |

Howdy Dave,
I am the one that had a "Barbie" moment aka Blond moment (PC Style)
I think that you will find that an Internet forum is just a microcosm of society at large, the only difference is we don't know who anyone is unless they disclose their identity.
Some of us are from the burbs, and don't hold degrees, I changed my mind after having kids and am 7 classes away from my associates, that's all I will have, as that is all that I am going for.
I have had the paperwork printed off for 1 month to run for a local office, where half of our residents are construed as hicks, I am sure me being one of them. Work two part time jobs (one at home), three kids, two dogs, love to fish even. I am "uneducated" but that doesn't mean that one is dumb. |
