Can anyone tell me how it's legal for the Mayor to pay for grub, have Williamson-shirt wearing "volunteers" doling the stuff, giving away pumpkins and have his special police force handing out election literature??
If this was a city event, (and the fees were waived for the park), then how does he get away with it? Meanwhile, I saw 3 Police Tahoes sitting at Keasley Park and not 10 blocks north, an obvious hooker and 3 men who looked to be waiting to deal, were standing on the corners of Mabel, Jane and Belle Sts and Iowa St????
Great job Don! Handing out pumpkins and ignoring crime!
Where's the outrage? |

The outrage is here, but the mayor has spent almost 400k above the table and probably twice that in bribes to churches and block groups.
Flint is for sale! |

Ahhh...Belle & Iowa. I grew up in that block. Brings back some awesome childhood memories. Nice to know that some can still earn a living over there. |

****Can anyone tell me how it's legal for the Mayor to pay for grub, have Williamson-shirt wearing "volunteers" doling the stuff*****
This could be legal if he paid for it out of his own money, were the volunteers driving city cars? Or their own?
*****his special police force handing out election literature??*****
If they were in uniform, this is a no no, if they were driving police cars? This is a no no, campaigning on city time? priceless, seems like this has been done before.....Stanley perchance?
****Meanwhile, I saw 3 Police Tahoes sitting at Keasley Park and not 10 blocks north, an obvious hooker and 3 men who looked to be waiting to deal, were standing on the corners of Mabel, Jane and Belle Sts and Iowa St???*****
Then call Hagler to see if you can get a copy of their police logs for the time and location and tell them what you saw, this is the only way that you can hold them accountable. Just letting you know your options. |

I have a quick question for ya. Since you were obviously in attendance at this vote buying event did you approach the mayor and voice your displeasure at what was taking place and if so what was his response?
Oh ya just to add that I spent the last 20 years of my career working 3rd shift and going thru that eastside area many times. Hookers. dealers, junkies, and all sorts of human debris were present back than and Flint had woodrow for mayor. You are naive to think a change in mayors will change anything. |

Those were not police officers, they are members of the Citizens Services Bureau, and all they have done since the Con created them was campaign and waste tax dollars. Well, some of them have been raping citizens on city property, but I figured you all knew that. The Con only picks the best of people for his personal guard. Remember when they were passing out campaign lit at the Farmers Market?
Due to their personal shortcomings, None of them had any career going. The good news is that they all are going to be gone the same day the Con is! That will be the best single improvement to the quality of people wearing the FPD uniform since it's inception. |

po-tay-to or po-taht-toh, I am sure that you get the point. Under the Community Policing concept, just because they are appointed to a hoity toity Citizens Services Bureau, they still have power to arrest and carry a weapon. They are still peace officers.
I don't understand your post. |

I've personally seen a member of the CSB pursue a perp on foot, and make the arrest. They're still sworn officers. |

If picturing Dicks in a foot chase caused you to snort coffee or pop all over your keyboard, I apologise. |
