theres no doubt america has the best health system on earth IF
you have the money. if you don't, you will receive minimum care
just enough to get you out of the hospital. i know a few folks who
have passed away because of a lack of money and/or adequate
insurance. that is the comparison mike made with sicko.
you can give it any momiker you wish (socialized), but if my kid
is dying and i have not enough assets, i wouldn't give a crap who
the president was, what name it was given, i just want my kid saved
because i would appreciate dying FIRST!!
If a hospital knows you are dying the must take you in regardless of ability to pay.
Just so you understand socialized medicine isn't free. It is payed for by taxpayers. In addition our health care costs are high because of lawsuits and the most powerful unions in the world. There are however tremendous cost saving opportunities for America in we complete the move to total solcialism which could very well increase waiting times like they have in Canada. With increased waiting times a lot of people would die before seeing the doctor. This would save lots of money. Health care costs can be very high in the last month or two of life. |

i understand it all quite well.
the price is also high because of the health care lobby setting standards for various health insurance companies. aren't you kats familiar with the
health care plan wal-mart's been getting sued about? a "preferred provider"
type plan in which employees are sent to some company paid clown who
aspirins them up and sends them back to work in poor condition. those
are the types of games played, and thats WITH so-called health insurance.
something must be done for those that cannot afford care.
have you kats ever closely known any poor people?
northern michigan or areas in the south??? people actually
die because of a lack of insurance or assets. children!!! quality of care does indeed corrolate to your ability to pay..... |

That's nonsense. There is a wait time for some elective procedures in Canada but at least everyone can get them eventually. There is no wait for emergencies. I have good health insurance provided by my employer but my adult children do not. I'd trade what we have for the Canadian system any day. |

I agree with you Adam, however it doesn't matter what party you belong to or support, they all are out for themselfs. Look at our national economy right now, its very scary. Sometimes it just takes a Clinton to clean up after a Bush!

the only thing bankrupting america is war/ greed.
just imagine if america used that money to educate her citizens
and provide adequate health care. i for quite a few years have
felt that those in power know exactly what they are doing.
keeping the publics attention on something totally useless
while they continue their accumulation of wealth by any means
necessary. i remember a time when america produced in droves
the best scientists, engineers, mathmeticians, etc., on the
planet. now because of greed most corporations hire lower paid
foreigners. it's all out of wack! maybe i'm just too idealistic
for reality but i honestly give the human spirit more credit.
it appears this whole thing is about planetary domination..
keep them down, keep them poor, keep them illiterate on
every continent. whats the point? money?
How bout we reduce the tax burden from 50% to 20% and let Americans be able to pay for their own health care? How about we give them a right to choose their own health care so they don't have to go to mexico if they want alternative cancer treatments?
I think parents that trust public schools to educate their children are part of the problem. They don't even teach how America's political system works in public schools. Children in other countries know more about america than ours do. I think public schools are good for children to go to and socialize but not for educational purposes. A lot of public schools don't even teach kids how to read.

Try googling "foreclosures". Or take a look at the dollar in international markets. This nation is in dire financial straits. |
