Today, a permanent pink slip was issued.
Roger Smith is in a dark and quiet room. He looks around and there's no one there.
"Hello...." he says. "Roger Smith, Chairman of General Motors, remember me? I died today, so I'm coming up to enjoy the afterlife."
He looks around. There's no one. "I wonder where everybody went?" he ponders. Then he notices, in the distance, what looks like the pearly gates. He walks over and sees they are rusted shut, and there is some faded lettering on the top. It's covered in dust and barely legible. He reaches up and wipes the dust away with the edge of his sleeve to reveal the letters...
F-L-I-N-T
...everyone is gone. He's all alone. He furiously rattles the gates, trying to pry them open. "Hey, let me in!" he screams. "You're not being fair!" "Is this some kind of a joke?"
The gates are not opening.
There is no one there to open them.
There he sits, locked outside. He falls to the ground, sobbing. "What's going on here?" he cries. "Why did they close heaven for no reason? Where is everybody at?"
They are where they're supposed to be at, Roger. The problem is, you're not where you think
you're
at.
Welcome... to eternity.

Ok, I know he did some horrible things to Flint, and the only reason that most of us know who he is is from that stupid movie that has had people asking my mom constantly if she knew the rabbit lady....
but someone died. and that's sad. |

Howdy Tegan,

I don't know about the rabbit lady, but I did meet Deputy Fred a few years ago when he was giving the people next door an eviction notice for not paying rent for 2 years.
BTW, rabbit is a lot better tasting than squirrel. |

Roger should have had a couple security people escort fat Mike to the back of the building and beat him to an inch of his life. Now that would have made his movie entertaining. Anti American piece of crap. |

and now MM is the arbiter of who gets into heaven?
I seriously doubt he believes in the concept. |

Since when does being dead excuse your crimes?
Moore went to seminary school but eventually left before completing his work. He's a devout practicing Catholic. He was quoting from Matthew 25:35, which is in the Bible. Which apparently is some sort of authority on the subject of heaven. |

Well, Shawn someone can claim that they are a Good Christian (insert trademark symbol here), everyone does.
If he were devout Catholic the word Purgatory would have come up and he would have known about November being the Month of Souls. MM could have stated that Mr. Smith "Missed it by that much." in a "Get Smart" voice. He better start praying the Rosary for awhile, then talk about him getting into heaven.
This whole issue of the concept of rejoicing that someone has passed is sickening, I don't care who it is. |

And how did one man ruin flint? I mean, sure, he laid off people in the 1980s, but where was he when Buick City shut down? and all the others?
Maybe it was Flint's crappy mayor that they finally recalled, or the crappy city council... or the stupid citizens who voted the recalled mayor back into a different office...
I'm pretty sure Roger Smith had nothing to do with that... |
