Romney thinks he can win Michigan! I don't think so.

Romney decides to pull ads in S.C., Fla. By JIM KUHNHENN and GLEN JOHNSON, Associated Press Writers
Wed Jan 9, 9:07 PM ET
BOSTON - Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney has decided to pull his advertising from South Carolina and Florida, in a sign of trouble for a campaign that badly needs a win. . . .

If he goes places other than Grand Rapids, I say maybe. As of yesterday, he had a slight lead in the polls in Michigan, although that means absolutely nothing, but McCain was close behind.
I don't understand why McCain is doing so well. He seems so blah. He's also very smug when he talks and that drives me crazy. And I've heard him talk about "not being a kid, but showing everyone what a comeback looks like" fifty times since the NH primary.
How do they decide who wins the nomination? By the number of states or the number of delegates? |

I was personally offered to go to his benefit dinner tonight. Turned it down. Said I was "busy." |

Interesting, last time here, any examples of Romney being lost in his own little world of opulence?
I mean, Giuliani didn't even know how much a loaf of bread cost. (He couldn't believe that it was almost $3) But I haven't heard anything about Romney. |

That's ok. I like specifics, so I thought if you did have some, it would be a good thing to know.
We should be careful not to assume that because a candidate has money, that they have no idea what the common man goes through. Remember, most of these candidates have more money than we can possibly imagine, so very few probably have any idea what its like to go shopping at Meijer the afternoon before christmas with just $40 in your pocket needing to buy food for christmas dinner.
What peeks my interest (in a negative way) is when candidates avoid going on serious interviews in lieu of fun talk shows and comedy shows. It almost seems as though they are trying to dumb down their campaign. I don't care if you can dance or tell jokes or can relate to people who watch Ellen or Comedy Central, can you run this country? |

Agreed, Tegan. I am so sick of seeing Huckabee playing the guitar. Who cares?
As for dumbing down the campaign, unfortunately, I'm not convinced that the majority of voters don't make their decision based on Comedy Central. (When they're not watching Jerry Springer) |
