I was in the garage yesterday after noon when I heard a cat meow. I turned around and under foot was this little starved girl. After giving her plenty to eat and fixing a chair with a heat pad she slept in the garage. Went out this morning shes still in her chair and of course hungry. She must be only a few months old and has no meat on her bones. I have a cage that I will set up in the family room and bring her in today. I know our golden retriever will accept her but I dont know about our other rescued cat who is a male. It cost over $600 in vet bills to get the male cat healthy I wonder whats in store here. Never liked cats but if you can look at this scrawny little girl and not feel compasion you would have to be a cold hearted person.Wish us luck.

Twotap......."never really liked cats".......hahahaha. That's why you rescued one out of the woodpile and are feeding a scrawny little gal and put a heating pad under the poor thing and FED it............hahahah. Never really like cats....harumph......You're an old marshmallow.
And I never really liked dogs either. Never had one growing up and thought that they were disgusting....BAM....meet a guy with two American Eskimoes, next thing I know I am sharing a bed with three dogs.....I just had to get a puppy of my own, because I had never held one until I was the age of 26.....I don't like dogs either....never been partial.....hahaha.
You are tooooo funny.
Personally, I'd be the crazy old cat lady if my husband would let me. Let me know how she does around the dog and if she gets used to him, you may have a home for her already....hint, hint. I may have to sneak her into my house while hubby is away at work. |

Andi my son thinks he would like to take the cat as company for his dog while he is at work. We dont know how accepting his dog will be or if the kitty will take to olie his dog. If it does not work out I will let you know as my son lives in flint township so you would only have a short jaunt to pick up your new kitty. When I say this cat is beautiful I am not exaggerating.

She is a beautiful cat and admire your efforts. If it was me I would have sent her off to the pound but appreciate old softies like yourself.
Good luck and keep us informed TwoTap!

I think I'm the crazy old cat guy.
One that I fed when she started hanging out in our yard, then brought in.
One that a friend of our daughter's that he was going to dump somewhere.
One that ran into our garage being chased by 2 pit bulls. Pit bulls don't like 2x4's, so I won. |

Hey Ryan,
My aunt used to raise daschounds (sp) and she used to have "wieners" down on the farm too.

Yeah, it looks as if my husband and I just made the decision to put one of our dogs down, today. We will not do it until the kids get to say goodbye.....(*^(*&%(&^%.......<sigh>.
The kiki looks like it has a tiny bit of calico in her.
Tell your better half that her nails are gorgeous. |

My condolences Andi.
We've had a dog for 11 years...he's really starting to slow down. My daughter says he can't go until she moves out. I hope she's right. |
