Author    Post   Josh Freeman F L I N T O I D Emergency Purchase/Bill Carr Signs, Inc./Neighborhood Signs Communication dated March 25, 2008, from Purchasing Department to City Council, re: Pursuant to Section 18-21.10 of the City of Flint Code, Purchasing Manager Derrick F. Jones issued Purchase Orders #08-0508 and #08-0516, in the amount of $46,682.50 , to Bill Carr Signs, Inc., 719 W. 12th Street, Flint, Michigan, for neighborhood signs as requested by the Police Department, because the Police Department has declared that said signs are vital in order to assist with crime reduction in the city of Flint. - Instead of those block club signs featuring the Mayor's name prominantly at the bottom... maybe we could contribute that money towards saving a police officers job.... Signs on the corners or cops in the streets.. which do you prefer?
