With an upcoming budget that proposes to eliminate 59 officers if we could simply stop giving money to block clubs bi-weekly, we could save nearly three officers. Next time the mayor or his cronies show up at a block club meeting to hand out "free" money... tell them to keep the check and use it to help keep some police on the streets...
