Latest Gallup Poll - 12%
I thought that after 2 years of Dem control of Congress, things would be wonderful.

Actually, the Democrats' majority in the senate is so thin, Republicans can and has filibustered Congress into gridlock.

I wouldn't put too much faith in the poll.... historically the Congress always polls very low.... and still 90% of the folks will be re-elected.....

Here in Michigan, there are three congressional races to watch. One is for the 7th Congressional District in south central Michigan where freshman Tim Walberg was elected with less than 50% of the vote in 2006. The Democrats are targeting this seat and they are also targeting Joe Knollenberg's seat for the 9th Congressional District covering parts of Oakland County which for the past few years has become less and less the Republican stronghold it once was. Another race to watch is the 13th Congressional District in the Detroit area where Carolyn Cheeks Kilpatrick faces two strong challengers for the Democratic primary in August. She is the mother of embattled Detroit mayor Kwame Kilpatrick.
