The taxes would bolster police, fire and reopen the city jail. The city has been going through financial woes, including closing the jail and cutting more than 45 police positions. If we vote to allocate these funds ..who will gaurantee they will be used as requested? No millage funds until the schools are fixed. No one will buy a house if schools are not the priority.
