GENESEE COUNTY, Michigan -- Some folks looking for protection may be shocked to find they are putting themselves on the wrong side of the law.
The Genesee County Prosecutor's Office recently issued criminal charges against two women caught with stun guns.
In the first case, an 18-year-old Flint woman found herself in trouble after she flagged down the police to tell them a man walked off with her cellphone. When officers asked why he left so fast, he told them it was because she had a stun gun and he didn't want to get shocked.
In a separate incident, police stopped a car for a burned out taillight and arrested the 19-year-old Flushing driver when they found a stun gun in her purse.
In both cases, the women ended up with a felony charge of stun gun possession -- a crime that carries four years in prison. |

Handguns - OK
Pepper Spray - OK, but only 2% instead of the standard 10%
Tasers - NOPE.
OK to kill them, but not to disable them. Go figure. |

| A stun gun has a delay between "shots" while it recharges. Unless, of course, your kids stole the batteries for their Ipods. My pistol. on the other hand, is capable of firing all 14 45 caliber rounds in about 3 seconds. |

The pistol is capable - it takes me about 5 seconds to do it with reasonable accuracy. |

Hey Dave did ya see the new Springfield XDM. 17 rounds of 40sw and a match grade barrel. I dont need another handgun but ya never know.

I sure have. I'm hoping it'll be out in 45. That way i won't have to buy reloading dies, bullets, etc. for another caliber.
Going to Williams tomorrow to kill more paper. |
