Good one Stratton. look out for incoming from Demeralda, PD , Mckague and the rest of the Obama kool aid drinkers. They get pretty irate when ya pick on their boy and especially when its factual.

I'm simply pointing out that there probably isn't a politician in America that can't have the "flip-flopper" tag pinned on them. It's an old tired routine that appeals to the lowest common denominator but, hey, go with what works I guess. Dumbasses get to vote, too. |

The Dems learned in 2004 that an attack - true or false - that goes unanswered becomes true by default.
Lots of house and senate votes are bundled with other issues, and can be construed as a flip-flop or even support depending on how they are spun by the opposition. That's horse trading. Obama has consistently said he is not in support of off-shore drilling, but would be willing to consider it in order to facilitate passage of a broader energy policy bill.
That isn't a flip-flop, it is just how our Democracy works.
What I'd call a real flip-flop is the re-branding of McCain since 2000. After his defeat by Bush, his handlers told him he was going to have to make some serious adjustments to his positions if he wanted to attract the Rep base in preparation for an '08 bid.
It worked.
The question is, did he really change his mind on the issues, or is he willing to change his positions to get elected?
I just hope he's pandering to the right-wing nut jobs just long enough to get elected. Then he can go back to being the McCain I used to like. |

In case you didn't notice...our military effectively wiped out the Iraqi military in two weeks. And, Saddam Hussein and his boys were reduced to insignificant peons immediately. What happened was a power struggle between two oppresed religious groups that had been stifled for decades.
Remember you lame excuse that said that Wright wasn't running for President?
Remember, McCain wasn't in charge 7 years ago.
McCain has more character in his left foot that Obama has in his entire body.
THE MAN SIMPLY CANNOT AND WILL NOT TAKE A POSITION AND STAND BY IT....IS THAT THE TYPE OF PRESDIENT YOU REALLY WANT??? |
