Just had to show it off after getting it repainted. Too bad I could not be there for the Frankenmuth Car Show. I added an original picture of the ambulance back in 1973.

That's what I hear. Heck it's got a 472 in it so it should be pretty quick. Oh I forgot, it weighs over 8,000 pounds.

it really looks good. Are you going to letter it, or leave it plain?
Oh, yeah; my car weighs over 4000 pounds, so I'll spot you 3 car - uh, ambulance - lengths. |

I will be lettering the driver's, passenger, and rear door. I honestly have been thinking about using "ZELLEY" from my ambulance days with the Zelley Funeral Home there in Flint but, will probably end up using the funeral home's name down here. |

A guy I went to school with, Bob Dorr, spent quite a bit of time at Zelley's with his friend, Glen Zelley. Did you know either one? |

I don't recall Dave Starr but I do remember Glen. He was a police officer and came around the funeral home once in awhile. I worked primarily with Joe Zelley, neat man.

Final pictures with all the chrome back on. I added a before picture to compare. Goes to show you anything is possible with time and money, mostly money. Drained that account pretty good.

Your avatars always bring a smile to my face TwoTap. You're right, it will not fit in the garage due to height and it is too long as well. I have a temporary structure in the backyard I house it in for now just to keep it out of the sun. Working on a more "long-term" solution. It does have side panels and end panels so it is totally enclosed. It keep out the sun, rain, and even has held up to 40 mph wind gusts.
