This might be a bad time of year to start, but I'm working on a web page that'll be called "Forgotten Flint". I'm planning 2 sections; one of abandoned, decaying houses & buildings, and one of pictures of what Flint was in the past. Anyone contributing pictures will be credited. PM me if you want to contribute. |

Dave, my suggestion would to be something different. Maybe use it as a tool to showcase who the slumlords are. Use it to show this house a house then under the house you could put: "See the whore on the front porch smoking crack, notice the roof caving in and the 4 foot high grass" Then use the public records system to put who is the last owner of record using not only the City of Flint's system but the county register of deeds office.
I think your idea is good, but we all know most of Flint is forgotten. Its forgotten by the corporations who once made their fortunes here, its forgotten by people who use to live here.

If i can find pictures of the plants when they were running, and put them with pictures now, before & after. Also, I have thought of putting the names of the owners listed on the City's web site with the pictures. Or, at the very least, the addresses. It won't be just one part of the city, it would cover it all. Identifying slumlords is a good idea too. |

I have plenty of pictures of the old Reigle Funeral Home on Clio and Stewart. Some of what it was and what it is today. Josh Devine did a news story on it a couple years ago. some before and after pictures.
