Leave it to the Democrat whacko idiots to think that aids or any STD is caused by lack of funding. Hopefully the senate will put an end to this nonsense. Barcko what a stimulator. Make sure you read the comments below the article. Good stuff.

This may come as a shock to you, but seemingly unrelated items are placed in this type of legislation all the time - by both sides.

Let's see, perhaps because the Republicans blocked any and all meaningful increases in this type of research when they controlled Congress, and still do with the filibuster in the Senate, the Democrats have no other choice but to include this in a must pass piece of legislation.

If the Republicans weren't such major dicks about funding anything other than the wealthy, the military, and abstinence only programs, maybe Democrats wouldn't have to resort to - wait for it, it's shocking...wait...to spending money on actually helping people.

Star, seems to me that the die hard Repubs have a hard time with the concept of sex.

Sex is the leading cause of birth..in order to thwart birth...guess what? Condoms and BC are good options to thwart sperm meeting egg and condoms also stop STD's....but no....Little Johnny and Little Jane are toooo angelic to know what to do with their body parts....

Why do we have a syphilis problem in Genesee County, it's because people are using condoms...yeah, yeah.....holy cow..I can't believe this.

Actually, we should be throwing condoms out to the public like flower girls sprinkling roses walking down the aisle before the ceremony....

And this has what to do with stimulating the economy????? By the way this republican has a very good knowledge of sex, how to do it when to do it and who to do it with.I also have a pretty good concept of when to stop having kids especially if I expect someone else to pay for them. It would appear its mostly the Dems and their supporters who are confused on the subject especially the preventing aids part. $350,000,000 that buys a lot of rubbers of course ya gotta be smart enough to actually wear one to be effective otherwise it works about as well as those red ribbons all the Hollywierd dimwits seem infatuated with. By the way I read an article a while back about how the GAY fellas in San Francisco and other hot spots have stopped wearing condoms and gone back to bareback riding. It seems it just, well ruined the experience for them. Maybe Pelosis stimulation handout will inspire them to give up a bit of sensitivity if it might save their bacon. On the other hand maybe not. Confused Laughing

Does "Baracko" want it? If so the house and senate will amost for sure give it to him. Obama basically has a 3/4 majority in the Senate and like 2/3rds to 3/4 of the house.

It's unfortunate the House Republicans are so partisan so the socialist liberal half of them isn't show their true colors so they can get voted out.

As long a democrats have a few members in the house and Senate it appears we are doomed for the foreeable future because the Bushwacked wing of the "Republican" party still has a straglehold grip on the national level. Hopefully grassroots activists will defeat Bush's pick to lead Republicans toward disaster.

Things are worse for local Republicans because we have I hate smoking Paul Scott in the house and "I'm a Republican?" Gadola on the County commision. The only bright side is I think we can count on Paul Scott to not vote to not increase taxes and even if Gadla believed in free markets he could still be out voted.

I'm still a little pissed off from seeing John Bailout Boehnor leading Dave Camp from Michigan and the other socialist Republicans at their b.s. pow wow press conference.

I believe someone mentioned that repubs cut funding for aids research. If this is a cut I would hate to see what an increase looks like.

Signed into law yesterday by President Bush, the plan allots $48 billion over the next five years for disease treatment and research. It builds on the five-year, $15 billion President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief, which earned Bush praise for acknowledging the AIDS epidemic -- two million deaths last year, most in sub-Saharan Africa -- and condemnation for ignoring other, equally pressing diseases.
