Bob Cook is gone, and no replacement named. Could this be part of Mike Brown's partnering with the county? |

We have taxes that are allocated for parks, lets hope they will be maintained and improved now.

If it happens, I imagine at least some of the money will be transferred to the county. |

Nothing can be worse then the current maintenance done to the parks. I can't let my kids play at ours, I lose sight of them in the grass |

Appointing him gives me hope that the parks will not be turned over to the county. |

I was at the last city council meeting and was able to talk a little with the new parks director. He is a lifelong resident of FLINT. He is very excited to make a dent in the poor maintence and programing we currently have.

Maybe he can do something about the dead limbs hanging in trees on our block, waiting to fall on someone. |

I can't imagine that the county would be willing to take over Flint city parks. they are already stretching their resources to take care of the parks they have now. |
