I checked this on Snopes and found it to be true.

TIGER WOODS SPEECH AT THE INAUGURATION: Tiger Woods received a special invitation to speak at the inauguration. His inviters were stunned, when he did not deliver the message they expected. You will see why the media swept it under the rug with no further ado, who & why of a certain element is pissed off at Tiger.
Below is the text of his speech, entitled: "You'll Never Walk Alone," as posted on his Web site: "I grew up in a military family - and my role models in life were my Mom and Dad, Lt. Colonel Earl Woods. My dad was a Special Forces operator and many nights friends would visit our home. They represented every branch of the service, and every rank. "In my Dad, and in those guests, I saw first hand the dedication and commitment of those who serve. They come from every walk of life. From every part of our country. Time and again, across generations, they have defended our safety in the dark of night and far from home.
"Each day -- and particularly on this historic day -- we honor the men and women in uniform who serve our country and protect our freedom. They travel to the dangerous corners of the world, and we must remember that for every person who is in uniform, there are families who wait for them to come home safely.
"I am honored that the military is such an important part, not just of my personal life, but of my professional one as well. The golf tournament we do each year here in Washington is a testament to those unsung heroes. "I am the son of a man who dedicated his life to his country, family and the military, and I am a better person for it.
"In the summer of 1864, Abraham Lincoln, the man at whose memorial we stand, spoke to the 164 th Ohio Regiment and said: 'I am greatly obliged to you, and to all who have come forward at the call of their country.'
"Just as they have stood tall for our country - we must always stand by and support the men and women in uniform and their families.
"Thank you, and it is now my pleasure to introduce the US Naval Glee Club."
==== I have never been more proud of Tiger Woods than when I heard his 2-minute tribute to the military at the Inaugural Celebration in Washing ton DC . You know he was greatly pressured to be there. Liberals have been mad at him for a decade for not joining their ranks. You know he didn't want to be there. So instead of paying homage to Obama, he paid tribute to our soldiers. Not one time did he mention Obama, the inauguration or the new administration. He knew beforehand that his love for America , and appreciation for our military men & women would anger them further. But Tiger is his own man; his father taught him to be his own man. Somewhere over that cold, gray Washington sky, old Earl Woods was smiling down on his beloved son. And there will be one more crying hug waiting for Tiger when he passes through the Pearly Gates into God's arms.

Here ya go LT.

The Liberal View

A liberal wants the government deeply involved in our lives. It is often seen as a parent to us all—or the big tent. They believe that the government can force society to confront its ills and legislate and enforce the cures. A liberal point of view diminishes the individual's responsibility and believes people are victims or victimizers. This point of view does not view individuals as having power to rise above their circumstances in large numbers and therefore a savior must be found to "level the playing field."

They point to the example of the civil rights movement of the 1960's. With out government intervention, they argue, the rights of minorities would never have been acknowledged nor would there be equal rights for all. In fact the civil rights movement is the basis of the modern liberal's political ideology, and proof that it is essentially correct.

This conviction motivates them to use all means available to impose their vision of goodness on the masses. If they can't get the populous to support their agenda then they will get the courts to legislate it. This is because they firmly believe that their agenda is for the greater good of society.

Liberalism is naturally sympathetic with socialism and suspicious of individualism and even though it shares the same long-term goals as conservatism it's approach, as you can see, is radically different.

well........being old enough to have been aware during the times of the civil rights movement, i am quite sure without the movement, common human rights wouldn't have been allowed into fruition. the george wallace, bull connor mindset was real. i remember being called a nigger in a hardware store in virginia at the age of 11 and the tears in my mothers eyes as she told me the truth about race in america. talk about a blow to my "disney" mentality!!! so, yes if believing in the movement for equality makes me "liberal", i am that. although i prefer a much better description.."FAIR".

LT anyone who would call an 11 year old kid that needs to have his ass kicked on the spot. But lets face it if Government was the answer to all problems as liberals prescribe we would have none at all.

Let me put it in it's most basic form. Ther liberal says to the down and out, "hey don't worry, here is a hand out." The conservative says to the down and out, "hey common you can do it, let me give you a hand up."

Not? look at the hand outs THE BO is giving the institutions on wall street.

And Barny Fwank is suprised at the bonus AIG is handing out. Why the whole BO administrations is shocked and state there is nothing they can do.

I can't tell you the number of times I have heard lib hacks say the republicans are "big business." Give me an F-ing break. Mad

Bush didn't sign a bill with 8,500 earmarks for stupid things like tatoo removal for gang members. I'm still trying to understand just how much 2 trillion dollars is.
