Voted for Ford & Threlkeld. Didn't especially like the idea of Topping being endorsed by the teachers union.

Topping and Ford come in last places.
"crazy ass Davenport" as adam calls him- beat out Paul Jordan for third place. Betty Ramsdell and Jerome Threlkeld take the First and second places for Flint School board.

24,255 voters placed their votes for Flint School board elections
12,155 voters placed their votes for Mayoral primary election
11,780 voters placed their votes for the non-homestead millage renewal for flint community schools

School board elections always have a low turn out but to have the mayoral votes less than half that is really sad.

millage renewal passes by almost 4800 votes.

Clack Beats Buchanan for second place by 14 votes in the mayoral.
Walling- 5406
All others combined = 6749

August will be fun!

Flint schools won 18 mills for 10 years so the budget is almost saved.
Businesses though may not be able to continue to pay such an amount.
I have serious concerns on homestead owners voting in a non-homestead millage.

Peace,
RAP

I didn't vote for Bety, she seems like apart of the establishment.
I can't believe Davenport won, the man is crazy.

adam, ever though of beginning to "alter" your image? you are obviously interested in serving in some manner and i believe would do a great job. you may be aware that everything on this and any other local site is perused and repeated many times over. theres no way davenport should have been chosen over you. his name has a minimal recognition factor only because he has attempted to run for stuff AND goes to meetings of all types. he smiles and makes friends at those meetings. think about it. when you go to any meeting, what percentage of people have a favorable opinion of you after you leave?

seems like the last thing y'all need right now is more of the same. the logical opinion isn't always the most favorable.

Davenport also won over Jordan and Topping. He also had name recognition from the mayoral election. Davenport does work a lot harder at campaigning than I do but I think he also has more time. I think I'm also hindered by lack of internet participation in Flint as well as a socialist mindset of voters. I think when we lose another 10,000 jobs voters and a few more hundred dead Flint will be more smpathetic to a right winger like myself.

Maybe I should have put more effort into this election and blown some money but my main goal was to give Flint voters a legitimate choice.
