Again the ratings speak for themselves. Fox dominates the ratings every week. Maybe because they have an American agenda and not a socialist one like the communist news network ( CNN) and BSNBC. It's funny how liberals can't take the same kind of criticism that they've dished out over the last 8 years.

Fox News wins the ratings war each week for the same reason that reality tv is more popular now than ever and people look out of their windows at car wrecks. We've become so angry as a nation that we can only stomach to hear what we want to hear. Personally, I have no use for Fox News or MSNBC. Americans are too busy/lazy to obtain news from reliable sources like NPR, PBS, Washington Post or NY Times. It's much easier to allow Bill O'Reilly or Keith Olberman to stir your passions about some dumb non-news story than it is to open a reliable newspaper and take the time to read both sides of an issue.

For those who think the New York Times has a liberal bias, then read the Wall Street Journal. My point is that cable news isn't news, it's entertainment much the same way that Rush Limbaugh is entertainment. Fox just happens to be overly blatant about their bias with MSNBC trying to catch up.

Reliable sources NPR, PBS, Washington Post or NY Times Laughing Your joking right??? Maureen Doud, Frank Rich, yup no agenda there. By the way you left out the NY post and Washington Times as reliable sources ?? interesting

Just what alleged bias at fox news are we supposed to be aware of?? The fact that they might actually report whats really happening on both sides of the spectrum . By the way you said we only desire to hear what we want to hear. You got that right I want to hear really what happened without it being filtered thru some lib mouthpiece.

TwoTap, it's spelled "you're", and I've just come to the conclusion that your political philosophy is completely independent of and non-dependent of any factual support.

Video proof is provided, and the message just rolls right off of you like water on a duck's back.

WillDavison !! Its spelled FOX. And in case you have not noticed many on this forum have you're political philosophy figured out as totally irrelevent to them and like myself will continue to get their accurate news from Fox, Drudge and Newsmax. You may now return to the View, Ny times, ABC NBC CBS, taxpayer supported PBS or Rolling Stone for the info you desire. Oh ya just wondering why you neglected to include those two major newspapers NY Post, Washington Times as sources of factual reporting????

Your political philosophy as far as Fox news which is hated by all on the left which would lead one to believe that you are a member of that elite in their own minds club.

Obama, and all the other libs would love nothing more than to silence FOX news. Just like his buddy Hugo Chavez did to the Venezuelan news outlet that he didn't like. Fox news promotes it's conservative agenda just like CNN MSNBC, ABC, and all the others promote their socialist one. Here in America The last time I checked, the 1st amendment of the constitution still assures our freedom of the press, and speech.

Hey WillDavidon, Check out the rules of Flint talk. It mentions something about the spelling police.

Hold the paranoia, Ponycar, there is a difference between calling somebody out on a lie and wanting them shut down.

From the looks of it, it appears that it doesn't matter if they're lying to you, as long as they tell you what you want to hear.

www.MediaMatters.org has done a pretty good job of documenting the lies.

Media Matters now I remember where I heard that before. Yup no agenda there.
Hillary Clinton Told YearlyKos Convention She Helped Start Media Matters
By Noel Sheppard (Bio | Archive)
October 1, 2007 - 18:00 ET

As NewsBusters reported Sunday, the leftwing organization responsible for the recent smear campaigns against Rush Limbaugh and Bill O'Reilly, Media Matters, has direct ties to the Clintons. To be sure, folks on the left, and in the media that support them, will either deny this connection, or ignore it.

In the end, that's going to be hard to do, for on August 4, while speaking at the YearlyKos convention in Chicago, the junior senator from New York boasted of "institutions that I helped to start and support like Media Matters and Center for American Progress."

Twotap, oh so many things to respond to.

You mention Maureen Dowd and other columnists. They are columnists, not reporters, that's why they appear on opinion pages and not among the hard news stories. Perhaps you should educate yourself a little bit about what parts of a newspaper - any newspaper - are opinion and claim to be nothing else and what parts of the newspaper is news.

Washington Times is a well known conservative paper started by none other than the Rev. Moon. Trust me, it's a conservative paper. The NY Post is a tabloid and anyone can see it just by looking at the format. So, that is why I only listed the Wall Street Journal. Or, the bring it closer to home for you (you're home, not mine) - The Detroit News has a conservative editorial page while the Free Press has a liberal editorial page. Editorial pages do not report news, they express opinions. When you look at the news, there isn't much different between the reporting of the news between the two papers.

You mentioned the double standard between Michelle Obama's shoes and Sarah Palin's wardrobe. Here's the difference: Sarah Palin went on a multi-thousand dollar shopping spree with campaign funds. Michelle Obama paid for these shoes out of her own pocket. As far as calling Sarah Palin a bimbo - finally, the only correct thing you've said on this forum.

I have news for you - the media isn't liberal. The media is run by large corporations like GE and the last time I checked, those folks were Republicans. Simply smearing anything you disagree with as spin from the liberal media just shows how shallow of an understanding you have on issues.
