I went to both election parties, and one obvious contrast is the number of volunteers. Walling had at least 100 people at his party, many of them campaign volunteers. Clack had about 20 people. She needs more volunteers in the August election, and I think she realizes that. The white/black dynamic will be interesting. Despite all of Walling's attempts to reach out (and I'm not saying he's not sincere or isn't trying as best as he can), a good 80 percent of his volunteers are white. http://blog.mlive.com/flint-city-beat/ _________________ Steve Myers Wed May 06, 2009 1:38 pm  LakeWoman50 F L I N T O I D Walling won the white vote, not the black vote. More blacks voted than whites, and when the black vote comes together for the general election Dayne Walling will lose. Not voting for Walling because he is white is a textbook definition of RACISM.
