The point was that the extremist wing of the republican party is exerting itself and will lead to the demise of the GOP. Now, if you think that murdering a man is acceptable because of his occupation (which was legal) then you certainly fit into that wing of the party. And, I question your claims of being "pro-life" when you support the murder of a man and the support of the war. I'm sure you're in favor of the death penalty too! Hypocritical doesn't even begin to describe people of your ilk.

Ever wonder why abortion is still legal? From 2000 - 2006 the republican party controlled both houses of congress, the presidency, and had - as it still does - a majority of conservatives on the supreme court. If the republican party actually cared about outlawing abortion, why didn't they do it in those 6 years? Simple question really. However, we all know the answer - or should know the answer. Those that don't are ignorant to the political reality of today's republican party.

I'd rather have the right wing extremist wing running the Republican party than the socialist liberal Bush wing running things.

You're correct the Republican party does benefi from having abortion legal. I also have some qualms about some supposedly pro-life Republican groups.

Republicans could have fought to overturn Roe v. Wade but apparently it was not as much a priority as legalizing torture/"enhanced interrogations"

Adam, you're a smart guy. In fact, you and I shared a stage together. I ran for state rep against dave robertson in 2006 - i'm the one that only lost by 600 votes. I believe we were at a forum together.

You're right about the corruption - both party's have their fair share. However, you're not correct about NAFTA. Don't confuse a Democratic president for a Democratic Congress. You can hardly say that the Democratic Party is responsible for NAFTA when a majority of Democrats in the House voted against it.

http://michellemalkin.com/2009/03/11/nancy-pelosi-the-jennifer-lopez-of-congressional-travelers/#comments :

Remember: Pelosi’s San Francisco is notorious for banning the Marines’ Silent Drill Platoon from filming a recruitment commercial on its streets; killing the JROTC program in the public schools; blocking the retired battleship U.S.S. Iowa from docking in its waters; and attacking the Navy’s Blue Angels – which left-wing activists have tried to banish from northern California skies for the past two years.

Apparently, those anti-war protesters have no problem with evil military jets currying Pelosi and her massive entourages to the funerals of the late Rep. Stephanie Tubbs Jones and Charlie Norwood; foreign junkets to Rome; and politicized stops to Iowa flood sites to bash the Bush administration. One exasperated Department of Defense official, besieged with itinerary changes and shuttle requests back and forth between San Francisco Airport to Andrews Air Force Base for Pelosi, her daughter, son-in-law, and grandchild, wrote in an e-mail:

“They have a history of canceling many of their past requests. Any chance of politely querying [Pelosi's team] if they really intend to do all of these or are they just picking every weekend?…[T]here’s no need to block every weekend ‘just in case’…”

she sure could sing the blues. that might've been ol' nancy under the hood at the end. I don't think it was her fault though. She endangers all of us by discouraging people to support the military, but I don't think she caused this. This is Bush's fault. Laughing Seriously, this guy is to the Muslim religion as Roeder is to Christianity... and obviously neither of them understand the fundamental principles. Roeder may be mentally ill. Bledsoe was detained in Yemen with a fake Somali passport but there was "insufficient evidence to wiretap his phone or put him under surveillance." Should we give up our freedoms (guns, privacy)? screen kids for genetic flaws and behavioral issues and medicate or incarcerate anyone with psychological issues or extremist views (ah-hem Rolling Eyes Wink)? The FDA will kill more people in the country this year than terrorists. I say it's God's fault for making faulty wiring.

Thanks not sure if I'm glad you lost or not. I'm definately not thrilled with Paul Scott though. He should be fighting taxes and new laws and not trying to add another fascist law to the thousands of pages too many we already have. I'm thinking it might have been a school board forum but I can't remember.

Without the democratic president NAFTA wouldn't have passed just like without Bush we wouldn't been able to bankrupt our nation so fast.
According to the Arabs
http://www.aaiusa.org/washington-watch/1138/w112293
"The President’s relentless lobbying and deal-making also won him respect from the Republican leadership in Congress. One reason that the vote count for NAFTA was so much higher than expected was because Republicans were so impressed by the President’s efforts to win Democratic support that they made a determined effort to increase their support for him. This summer Republican leaders had warned that without active a strong public campaign for NAFTA by the President, they would take a politically safer path and vote against the measure themselves. After Clinton’s incredible effort, they honored their word and worked hard to hold as many votes in the pro-NAFTA column as they could."

Without the 102 democrats in the house voting FOR NAFTA it would not have passed. In other words with out the dem president and without the dem votes in the house NAFTA would not have passed.
