Too bad we can't return to those days-we might save more young people. Manley and Mott started an exemplary program imitated in other locales.

When I was a kid, the Mott programs were wonderful. They, and the Flint public schools were considered the model for the whole country. Then, for some reason, all the Mott programs abruptly stopped. I sure would like to know the real reason they stopped. |

I often wonder who will step up to the plate and be someone comparable to a C.S. Mott today?
