I just did a search of the city charter and ordinances online for the word "Ethics". It's not found anywhere. Interesting.

I also found a web site with information that maybe Flint should look into.

There is a great article on Atty. Gen. Cox and his efforts to beef up ethics rules in Michigan. Whole page devoted to ethical issues.

That's what gave me the idea to look at the charter & ordinances.

With Flint's long history of ethical lapses we really need more ethics policies.

That sounds like a good idea for our city's chief planner to work on. You should tell Walling to have his Chief Planner get on that.

Adam- You must not know what a city planner does. Ethics would not fall under their pervue.

Sorry, I was being facetious because we have no city planner but if we did decide to follow the charter here is a code of ethics for city planners.

Get with me Dave as I have volumes of research on ethics policies in other communities and cases of prosecution for politicians ethical lapses.
