At one time there was talk about recalling 7 of the 9 council members. It appears the number has been reduced and the targets may be Delrico Loyd and 2nd ward Jackie Poplar.

The walling recall is moving smoothly. Sutton's language was approved finally but no one was at the hearing and word is Sutton gave up.

They have really pulled it together. they have over 8 k signatures and are pushing for many more. They are verifying signatures as they go so they know that all are valid.

They are the recall Walling now group. They were outraged at the council meeting Monday. Obviously the new rules need some clarification. They put their slips in before the meeeting was called to order but the slips had already been picked up in anticipation of the scheduled 5:30 pm starting time. They were angry and Loyd suspended the meeting and called the police. This is an issue as the meeting have started as much as 2 hours late.

Loyd may have reacted to their recall shirts they wore. davenport, Parks and Singelis were there.

Bet the return to Complete Towing played a role in this recall! Kincaid and Walling have been seen consulting with a political consultant from Lansing.

FLINT -- Longtime Flint City Councilman Scott Kincaid has been targeted for recall for the first time for his role in police layoffs in the city.

Genesee County Clerk Michael Carr said today that the county Elections Commission has scheduled a meeting to consider proposed recall language. Additional information about who submitted the proposed recall language was not immediately available.

Kincaid is a 25-year veteran of the council, a former council president, and former unsuccessful candidate for mayor in 1999. He represents the city's 9th ward, which covers voters in the southern-most part of the city.

Recall language is scheduled to be considered by the Election Commission on July 21, Carr said.

Kincaid said he would withhold comment on the recall effort until a decision about the clarity of the language is made.

Forty-six police officers were laid off in city as part of a budget-balancing plan earlier this year.

"I'ts everybody's right" to petition for recall, Kincaid said today.

FLINT, Michigan -- Recall language was filed today against Flint City Council President Delrico Loyd, officials said, soon after similar language was filed against Councilman Scott Kincaid.

In the paperwork filed this afternoon, Flint resident Robert Knight said Loyd should be recalled for the layoffs of Flint police officers earlier this year.

Genesee County Clerk Michael Carr said the county Elections Commission will meet at 8:30 a.m. on July 21 to decide whether the language is clear enough to be put before voters. A hearing on the language against Kincaid will be held at the same time.

Knight declined to comment Wednesday.

"He has the right to file a recall," Loyd said.

Loyd was appointed to the council in 2008 and elected soon after. At 25, Loyd is the youngest city council president in Flint's history.

Loyd represents the city's 1st Ward, on the northwest side.

The language for both was turned down. But the effort is now focused on recalling Mile Carr, County Clerk.

I have been told davenport has filed 23 recall petitions in about 2 years. There is a move to place a fee on filing such petitions.
