When I first started hearing about politicians and others paying some gang members to collect absentee ballots, I was not sure what to believe. Then some of the stories began to become more credible, especially when dollar amounts are being bandied about.
This week I am pissed! When the case nmber of the lawsuit against Eason, Young and the City was first put out by OOSL2, a number of people pulled the case and began to make copies and distribute them.
Lynn Waybright organized a group comprised of a large number of block clubs that ty to help one another. Lately the area near her house off Welch has been the targeted by a number of shooting incidents, six in less than 10 days and 2 in one day. While no one has been hurt, the gunfire is raising havoc in the community, which is supposed to be a development area.
But Friday night was the worst. While coming home, Lynn and her husband noticed an unusual car just sitting 2 houses from her home. As they passed this stranger 2 shots rang out. There were no hits, but it is evident that the shots were intended to intimidate her.
Why you might ask. She had obtained a copy of the lawsuit and gave it out to those who had requested them. Community people are telling her that is why she was targeted. Has our community sunk o low that these "goons" (low level gang soldiers) are intimidating activists and other community leaders.
I have had gang members in my neighborhood wearing their colors and throwing gang signs at me, so it is obvious they know something about me. I am now willing to concede that it is possible that these gang members are being paid to help promote some political agendas.
Literally dozens of these lawsuit copies have been passed out, will these goons take on all of the distributors?

I believe this because this administration has tried to shut up everyone that has tried to bring problems to the surface. This is really scary. |
