The Estate of former Flint Police Chief and mayor James Rutherford has initiated a lawsuit against JC Group Enterprises Inc. owned by Charles Young lll and Jermaine Gonzales.
In November of 2009 James Rutherford entered into a land contract with JC Group Enterprises for the sale property commonly known as 322 W. Court.
After the purchase of the property , the lawsuit alleges Young and Gonzales made no payments of the land contract and paid no taxes. Both defendents signed a Personal Guaranty.
Futher allegations of the lawsuit are that Young and Gonzales made representations of their prominence as real estate investors. it was later discovered their holdings were not solvent and there was little creditworthiness in their portfolio's.
Charles Young lll is the son of Operation Unification's Charles Young and he company used the 2050 Warner address of OU Homes, a for profit compaonent of Operation Unification as well as an address in the Village, another part of Operation Unification located in Beecher.
The lawsuit alleges Breach of Contract, Fraud: Fraud in the Inducement and Promissory Estoppel.
Since the lawsuit the apartment building at 322 W. Court, near grand traverse, has burned and only the basement remains. |
