Author    Post   untanglingwebs El Supremo I was surprised to see the sale signs on the huge home of former councilwoman Carolyn Sims. The home located on the corner of Grand traverse and Welch was foreclosed upon and was recently offered for sale. The price was $29,900 but could be reduced as low as $23,000. I am told the inside of the home is trashed, Every sink is gone and even the bathtubs and toliets are missing. The heating elements remain but some of the plumbing is gone. The walls are a mess and there is water in the basement. The basement steps are rotting. What surprised me was the floors are concrete, even the upstairs. Removal of the fixtures may have made a costly repair. The outside of the home is still lovely and doesn't give a hint to the mess inside. The auction is next Thursday.
